Goin' Round Bandcamp #2 - The DisEdition

Wanna see your band's Bandcamp featured here? We welcome your submissions.

Devil's Hand, «Welcome The Slaughter»
If the cover art doesn't tip you off, the first couple of chords will. This is Mötorhead-influenced d-beat hardcore punk and there's no rocket science here. Richmond, VA may be famous for the cigarettes, but there are also reasons aplenty to uncap the bottle, get your fist pumping - the one not holding the bottle, hopefully - and headbang to the rhythm of the Devil's Hand. And with song titles such as "World Gone To Shit" and "Welcome The Slaughter" it's not like they are concealing their intentions, now is it? [PA]

Plague Dogs, «Plague Dogs»
Yet another fine example of crust 'n roll, with an obvious but welcome Inepsy influence comes from Philly and it's the ravenous Plague Dogs. An almost constant barrage of d-beat sprinkled with dual guitar solos and harmonies, complete with the hate-driven vocals and lyrics makes this a favorite for your Sunday morning jog around the park. Boasting a perfect sound mix of rawness that actually carries a strong punch, it's mandatory listening for any metal punk fan worth his or her salt. [PA]

Blackrat, «Demo»
Much more primitive sounding than the above, especially on their demo, Calgary's Blackrat have much bile in them to spit, using their blackened speed/thrash metal as just the vehicle to do it. Rats and Satan make a wonderful combination, so expect plenty of such horned mammals, cheap booze and all-around blasphemy. Their demo also includes a cover of Sodom's "Blasphemer" so any doubts about where these guys are coming from get instantly cleared. Judging by the rest, we're guessing it was either that or Venom. [PA]
